ACT, founded in 1986, is a non-profit trade association representing over 295
specialty trade contractors and material supplier in the construction industry.

ACT's mission is to provide a forum to improve business conditions for its
members through united and cooperative action for the betterment of the
construction industry and the community.

ACT is the only construction association that concentrates exclusively on
the business issues affecting all subcontractors and material suppliers:

Slow Payment, Back Charges, Retainage,
Delay Claims, Cash Flow Problems, Litigation,
Insurance Cost, Financing, Contract Language...

ACT's growing membership includes firms both open shop and union,
representing every trade specialty for both commercial, residential, and
public construction. Membership also includes service providers to the
subcontracting community, such as insurance brokers, attorneys,
business consulting firms, truck dealers, rental equipment and more.
